Allen Williams, Ph.D.

Allen is a 6th generation family farmer and founding partner of Grass Fed Insights, LLC, Understanding Ag, LLC and the Soil Health Academy. He has consulted with more than 4000 farmers and ranchers in the U.S., Canada, Mexico, South America, and other countries, on operations ranging from a few acres to over 1 million acres. He pioneered many of the early regenerative grazing protocols and forage finishing techniques and now teaches those practices and principles to farmers globally. He is a “recovering academic”, having served 15 years on the faculty at Louisiana Tech University and Mississippi State University. He holds a B.S. and M.S. in Animal Science from Clemson University and a Ph.D. in Livestock Genetics from LSU. He has authored more than 400 scientific and popular press articles, and is an invited speaker at regional, national, and international conferences and symposia.

Hugh Aljoe
noble research institute
Hugh serves as the director of producer relations at Noble Research Institute, providing oversight to the consultation and education programs for producers in the Southern Great Plains. He is also a pasture and range consultant.

Before joining Noble in 1995, he was the ranch manager of Belvedere Land & Cattle Corp. for 10 years. He supervised the growth of the ranch from a small 450-acre, 150-head purebred ranch into an extensive 3,900-acre, 1,500-head purebred and commercial cow-calf operation.

He also serves on the board of the National Grazing Lands Coalition.

Jeremia Markway
markway ranch
Jeremia ranches with his family at Markway Ranch, located in central Missouri, where they raise their sheep, cattle, and Quarter horses. Most recently, he managed research farms at Lincoln University in Jefferson City for eight years. With family roots in farming and a love of agriculture from a young age, his interest in managed grazing took off when his parents built the first electric fence in 1983. Since then, it has been a never-ending quest to learn and improve. He enjoys sharing what he has learned from the best in the business, along with his own experiences, to help others become successful.
